365-- Week 4

I actually took a picture for every day last week!

Brighton's baby dedication.  You would think, with it being a big to do that I would have gotten a posed family picture at some point, but I didn't.

Today-- 4 years, 3 years, and 6 months

5:42 am--I hit snooze 8 times before I rolled out of bed to work out this morning.   I guess trying to get up at 4:51 am wasn't in the cards for me.

5:50 am--A little Barre3.

6:20 am-- Shower and pump while I am getting ready

 7:20am-- Bristol wakes up

7:30 am-- Laundry, get bags together, and start Breakfast.  Around 7:50, Brighton and Eldon wake up

8:20 am-- Breakfast for me after giving Brighton her bottle.
 8:49 am-- Bible study time
11:30 am-- Groceries
11:40 am-- Nurse the starving baby

Lunch time-- A little pick me up with a side of lunch

12:40 pm-- A little play time before nap time.

 1 pm-- Nap time

4 pm-- Sell Bristol's old rocker at the same time Brighton and Eldon wake up from their naps.
4:15 pm--Eldon goes out to the garage with Jeremy while I once again nurse the baby.

4:30-6 pm-- Make dinner and eat dinner.

4:45 pm-- Bristol wakes up

5- 6:30 pm-- Brighton naps

6:30 pm-- Fold laundry

7:30 pm-- The kids earned themselves a straight to bed pass tonight for not listening.   I nurse Brighton for the final time.  Since she is a happy little thing, Jeremy and I hang out with her for a few minutes before we send her off to bed as well.

7:55 pm-- All kids are in their beds

8-10 pm-- I lounge on the couch watching Veronica Mars while Jeremy plays in the garage.

10:30 pm-- Lights out, good night!

Today was a good day.

What I Wore-- A whole lot of nothing

Top//Groop Dealz
Pants//Target
Shoes//Toms

There is something you should know about this top... I am in LOVE with it.  Like, if I could get away with wearing it every day of the week, I totally would.   I think I need it in at least 10 different colors.  You are asking yourself, why does she love it so much?  Haha, who am I kidding, no one really is asking themselves that.  I just feel like telling you why I love it so.   Because it makes my chest look smaller.  TMI???   Probably but it is the truth.  I have a rather large chest and I feel this dolman top is the perfect balance for this problem.  Yes, I said problem.   It minimizes booth my waist and chest.  Winner!

Now on to some more completely and equally boring topics.

a few, like 3, funny things my husband has said over the week....

Jeremy, when referring to a quiet peaceful Brighton.
"Don't disturb it, its like a badger!"

When I was putting together Eldon's birthday slide show I stumbled upon a few Brighton pregnancy pictures...
Me: Man I was huge this pregnancy.  Why didn't you tell me?
Jeremy:  It is your camera, I was just taking bad pictures.

random car conversation
Jeremy:  what day am I calling in sick this week?
Me:  are you not feeling good?
Jeremy: my trucks aren't feeling good.

On that note...
I am really hoping this week is one free of sickness.  Our week last week went like this, Monday morning... Bristol gets an ear infection.  Monday afternoon... we go for Eldon's 3 year appointment and leave with a steroid prescription and instructions to change his breathing treatments from every 4 hours to every 3 hours.   Tuesday morning... I wake up feeling the effects of mastitis.  I decide that I want to be one of those girls who toughs it out and doesn't need antibiotics, this last till Friday morning.  Friday morning... I wake up and ask Jeremy to call in sick because it hurts to move.   During the night I alternated between shivering uncontrollably to sweating in puddles.   Thankfully I was able to get an antibiotic called in for the mastitis while discovering that I am not one who can just tough it out with this wonderful illness.  Nope, it knocks me on my butt.

Kuddos, yep I said kuddos, to Jeremy who stayed home on Friday and took awesome care of me and the kiddos.  He even did all the grocery shopping for the week, with both big kids in tow.  I don't even do that.
I told you this is a completely random post.

I have been having second thoughts about homeschooling Bristol lately.  I just don't know if I am equipped to school Bristol.   I always said my children would never go to public school, so now that homeschooling is off the table, we have to start exploring options like the local charter school.   I would love for Bristol to be able to go to a Christian school but we just can't afford that at this point in our lives.   So we are praying about it, debating it, and I will be calling to find out a little more info from the school.   I really wish there was a program that gave me both options here, a few days of homeschooling and a few days of in class learning, because I think I could definitely handle that.

So that is where my brain is today.  Yes, my What I Wore post is a day early this week but that is because I am going to try and do a "day in my life" post tomorrow.  That is if I remember to wake up taking pictures.   Wish me luck!

Happy Tuesday.

A few yeses...

Not even prompted

Yesterday, was a wonderful day.   We celebrated Eldon's birthday with Jeremy's family.   A little train ride.  A little zoo time.  And Mommy and Daddy got to say yes quite a few times instead of their usual no's.

Bristol and Brighton's Style-- Pattern Mixing and Color Blocking

We are participating in Katie's Baby Mama Link up this week.  Next week I will jump in the pictures as well.
Tops//Kohls
Leggings//Target

This is my favorite top for Little Miss right now.

Top//Gift
Leggings//Kohls

Normally when Fuss comes out in an outfit like this, I would send her right back into her room to change one item.  Today, I didn't feel like fighting it.  We weren't going anywhere, so I figured what's the harm.  Besides, isn't pattern mixing all the rage these days?

I am scared to know if this is what I look like in my What I Wore posts.  If it is, please don't tell me.

Maybe next week I will do my normal Instafriday post.

What are you doing this weekend?

We are going to the zoo on Saturday to celebrate Eldon's birthday and then Sunday, we are dedicating Miss Brighton at church.

Happy Friday.

Proverbs on Plans

Top//Annie Jean Apparel via Groop Dealz
Leggings//Our World Boutique
Boots//JC Penny's

Yesterday when reading Proverbs, which I am way behind on, 2 verses really stuck out.

We can make our own plans,
but the Lord gives the right answer.
Proverbs 16:1

We can make our plans,
but the Lord determines our steps
Proverbs 16:9
I am really good at making plans.  In fact, I go slightly crazy if my life is scheduled and planned out.   But something I realized this morning, what am I missing by making my plans?   God has so much more for me.   I need to listen to His plans for me, because they are much better than my plans for me.

So next time I am freaking out because we leave the house 2 minutes late, yes it is a regular occurrence in our house, I need to remember that I am not in charge.   If I can give something up as little and my day to day schedule, I can give up the long term ones as well.

On a side note, I totally bought these leggings because I loved how they looked on Katie.
