BIG ANNOUNCEMENT:

Eldon is sitting on his own!

Birthday presents and pictures

I really haven't had much to say lately!    We are quickly approaching AT which means the hubby will be gone for 2 weeks.... and I will be all alone with the kiddo's for those 2 weeks.   I think when he gets home I will be checking into a mental health facility because I know I will be completely crazy after 2 weeks with no break... heck I can barely make 4 days without wanting to rip my hair out.   I don't know how spouses of active duty military do it.

I re-did my blog for the 4th of July!  I told you I get bored fast!  Speaking of the 4th, I really need to make Bristol's outfit!

Last week was Tawny, my sister-in-law's, birthday... she is always making us homemade gifts for Christmas and birthdays, she also made Bristol's bedding, which if you don't know ,Bristol's most prized possession is her blanket....    So I decided to make her something!
Bristol's bedding

I made her custom fabric sewing labels.  I had a lot of fun designing them and not so much fun cutting them all out.

Here are a few pictures that I have taken that I absolutely love!
mommy and Bristol's toes!  Ignore my horrible paint job, I have no talent what-so-ever!  I can't wait till she is  old enough for Mommy and Bristol trips to get pedicures.
I call this picture "Seriously Mom! Do yo really need to take a picture?"
I bought these super cool stickers for Eldon's monthly pictures and since he is almost 6 months old we gave the rest to Bristol!

Week 5: Day 29-35

Bristol's First dentist appointment

Thursday thoughts....

I have my video monitor back.... I don't know how I survived the first 17 months of Bristol's life without a video monitor.   When we got pregnant with Eldon that was the only thing I absolutely had to have.   Anyways I had to send it back last Friday because the talk feature wasn't working on it.   They replaced the whole unit.  And I am very thankful I delayed Bristol's nap to hook it back up because she woke up a little bit ago and instead of barging in there I watched her on my hand dandy spy cam and she is now back to napping peacefully.

Nap time is my favorite time of day!   Not that's a lie its one of my favorite times of day.  My favorite time of day with Eldon is when he wakes up... I go in there to get him and he gives me his big ol' smiles, I LOVE those smiles.   My favorite time of day is bedtime with Bristol... right before she goes to sleep she always give me and Eldon big kisses.   I love watching her love on her little brother.  She also loves to read her bibles stories which really warms my heart.

Funny thing happened.  Last week I couldn’t find more than 5 pairs of Bristol’s underware… So I bought her a couple new packs when I was at target.  Yep, you guessed it, I found them.  Where you ask?  In Eldon’s sock drawer.

I got Jeremy 3 gifts for Fathers Day.  Even though he deserves so much more, I did what we could afford and what I knew he would love.  First I did this for him:

Its a collage of Eldon's newborn photo shoot above our fire place.  There isn't a picture of the whole wall because the mantel is the catch all for everything that we use on a regular basis and I really don't feel like cleaning it off.

I also got him a BBQ wok that he loves.  He made us stir fry in it the last 2 nights and it was delicious.   I can't wait for Monday for him to make us something else in it.   My husband is an amazing cook.   He gets all creative, me on the other hand I am a boring cook.  I am okay with this fact because Jeremy loves to cook for us and I encourage him to-do-so when he isn't working.

I think that's all I got for today... I have another picture I want to share but the recipient of the gift hasn't received it so I will post that at a later date.

Oh yeah, and like the slacker that I am, I still haven't done my Father's day gifts for our dads... I am going to try and get to Hobby Lobby this evening if not I will work on them on Monday.

Just hit me upside the head why don't you...

I have been reading Grace For The Moment by Max Lucado for my daily devotional.  Today was the second time I just felt like God was trying to get me to understand  a point.   The First thought was titled Don't Miss God's Answer...
"The God of surprises strikes again...God does that for the faithful.   Just when the womb gets to old for babies, Sarai gets pregnant.   Just when the failure is to great for grace, David is pardoned... The lesson? Three words.   Don't give up....Is the road long? Don't stop.  Is the night black? Don't quit.   God is watching.  For all you know right at the moment... the check may be in the mail.  The apology may be in the making.  The job contract may be on the desk.  Don't quit.  For if you, you may miss the answer to your prayers."
 This is today's...
"Why does God wait until the money is gone?  Why does he wait until the sickness has lingered?  Why does he choose to wait until the other side of the grave to answer the prayers for healing?  I don't know.  I only know his timing is always right.  I can only say he will do what is best...  Though you hear nothing, he is speaking.  Though you see nothing, he is acting.  With God there are no accidents.   Every incident is intended to bring us closer to him."
These are things I really need to hear.   I forget to listen and I forget to patient.   Yesterday I was stressing slightly because Eldon is getting to big for his infant carrier so he will need to move in the a convertible seat.  The only problem is his convertible seat wont fit rear facing in the Yukon, and the suburban doesn't have air conditioning so we can't drive it with the kids.   But this morning I am not worrying because I know when the time is right God will provide us with a means to get a different family vehicle.

I also have been really bitter because I want to move closer to family.  Its so hard raising kids with out family around, its sad to know that Bristol and Eldon have a cousin who is just a month younger than Eldon that they probably wont meet until January or February of next year.  Its hard that Bristol and Eldon wont ever really know their grandparents because there is only so much interaction you can get on Skype.

I need to remember that God knows the desires of my heart and as long as I am faithful in praying to him and depending on him for all my needs he will make the desires of my heart possible.  The answers might not be exactly the way I envision them but they will be perfect because they will be Gods plans.

God will always give what is right to his people who cry to him night and day, and he will not be slow to answer them.   Luke 18:7

Week 4: Day 22-28

MMM... Otter Pop!

This is supposed to say Day 26

I love the expression Bristol is giving!

I wanted to get a picture of Jeremy and the Kids today but we got busy!

My Friday!

Ugh!  Is all I can say.  Jeremy was out of town this weekend with drill so of course everything had to go crazy.   We were in serious need of grocery's.  When will I learn that I can't grocery shop on my own.  I don't see how people grocery shop with more than one kid, while managing to keep the other kid in check.   So off we went to Target and Costco.  I really wanted to go to Hobby Lobby to because I still haven't gotten the supplies to make my fathers day gifts but it didn't happen.

Fast forward to later in the evening.  The gardener came to mow the lawn and weed-whack  the weeds in the back yard.   Yep while he was weed whacking the debris flew up and hit the back door causing it to shatter everywhere.    Grr.  So now we have plywood there until I can get a glass company out to replace my door.

I have no luck what-so-ever!

So yeah, I wrote this on Friday but I don't like to let on to the fact that Jeremy isn't home so I just saved it.  This morning we had to finish grocery shopping and it went a lot smother.  Maybe I will get the hang of 2 under 2!

Happy Fathers Day!

Bristol and Eldon are such blessed little kids.  The have an amazing dad.  I know I brag about Jeremy all the time but he truly is an amazing father and husband.  I really wish he was home this weekend so I could have spoiled him.   Of course it would have been really hard for me to roll out of bed before him, although I did get up before him on Mothers Day! :)

Jeremy was so wonderful through out both of my pregnancies, he would talk to the babies all the time and they sure loved to get attention from him.   When I was pregnant with Bristol, I would be laying against Jeremy's back and Bristol would start kicking the snot out of my belly because she wanted Daddy's attention.    He is definitely a baby snuggling hog.   When ever the kids are in the mood to snuggle he takes all their snuggles.    Jeremy is always taking Miss Bristol places with him.... they go to the auto parts store, craigslist junk finding missions, and their favorite place, the GARAGE.   Poor Jeremy isn't even allowed in his garage anymore without a certain helper.   She makes it known that she will be going out there with him.    She loves to sit on her garage couch (a spare bench seat, yes we have spares!) and watch him.   If he is working with tools she loves to help out and he lets her.    They are best buds.    He doesn't take Eldon out there yet but the day is coming.    He love to give Eldon his bottles and asks me to pump on a regular basis so he can feed his son.   He is always willing to change a diaper or give a bath and let me SLEEP IN!

I am one lucky girl to have such an amazing father to our kids!

Also last but not least, Happy Fathers day to my wonderful dad and and my father in law Bill!  Thank you both so much for everything you have done/do for us over the years!

5 months!

My little guy is 5 months old today.   I can't believe it.    It is going by so fast.   Eldon always has a smile on his face for me.   He is such a happy little which is such a change from the first couple weeks when he definitely earned his name of grumpy old man!    Eldon is in such a hurry to catch up to his sister.  He tries to scoot but he ends up in the stink-bug-face plant position.  It is really cute.   He loves his big sister, she gets some of the best and biggest smiles.    Eldon is really in to grabbing his big sisters hair.  She doesn't think its quite as funny as I do.  Even though I still don't feel like I will ever get the hang of taking care of 2 kids, I couldn't imagine my life without him and his smiles.

I came back from taking Bristol to the potty and came back to Eldon who put himself in time out.   Probably for biting mommy all the time.

I love this picture!  He is giving his sister big smiles while I am trying to take pictures of him!

What do you think?

So I get bored with my blog design pretty easy.  I have always enjoyed other peoples "designer blogs" but I was just way to worried that I would get bored with it, so I could never bring myself to pay someone to design my blog.   So a couple days ago I figured out how to make my own website button for Fussy Junior's Fine Stitches, so I thought to myself today "Why don't you Google how to design your own blog template!".  So I did.  Check out the results!  What do you all think?   I am still trying to figure out how to center the labels gadget, if you know how fill me in, so I finally broke down and posted in the Google forum.   I really enjoyed designing this.   I did it with Paint.net.  Up next--- I am going to work on customizing my website.

Potty Training Failure....

Okay maybe not a Failure but we are going to start doing pull ups at night and nap times.   I really just wanted to go cold turkey but Bristol is such a sound sleeper that she doesn't wake up when she pees or even move out of the spot so she just sleeps right there.  Well she started getting a pretty bad rash, so last night we broke down and put a cloth diaper on her and this morning her rash was gone.  So we are going to buy pull ups or the cloth diaper version of pull ups until she is a little older and then we will work on nights.   I hope we don't have any major set backs and I wont be buying pull ups when she is 4 or 5 but right now I just feel like I am doing more harm than good.
