Holidays, Car Shows, and a Hero!

Today we went to the Rocky Mountain Calvary Live it Loud car show. It was a beautiful day for a family outing. 85 degrees and a nice breeze to keep us from overheating. We saw many beautiful creations. It always amazes me to see older cars, they are such beautiful pieces of art work. I would love a classic car! Oh wait, we have 2 they just aren't restored yet. So much thought, time, detail and I am pretty sure plenty of love goes into these beauty's. It doesn't matter what car company made them they are all still beautiful. We saw full restorations, rat rods, chopped tops! Their paint jobs are works of art; candy's, pearls, wood grain, matte, glossy! I love the paint jobs but the interiors is what gets me every time. They are just pure works of art. In my opinion an interior can make or break a car!

Towards the end of our exploration we came along 2 blue 66 Chevy trucks. One had a beautiful mural/memorial of the USS Arizona the other had Stratton stitched across the top of the bench seat.

Donald G. Stratton is a true American hero. He is 1 of 6 survivors who where aboard the USS Arizona when the attacks on Pearl Harbor happened. He honored Jeremy and Bristol by allowing us to take a picture of them together!

What a wonderful thing to encounter on Memorial day!

Hosea 14:3

Assyria cannot save us, nor can our strangth in battle. Never again will we call the idols we have made 'our gods'. No, in you alone do the ophans find mercy.

Isaiah 63:9

In all their suffering he also suffered, and he personally rescued them. In his love and mercy he redeemed them. He lifted them up and carried them through all the years.

Mommy and Bristol!

I love this picture! Mostly because there are not very many pictures of me and Bristol together! I dont want her to look back at all her albums and think "Where was mom?" Well the answer is either I was taking the picture or I decided not to make myself presentable enough for a picture that day!

My (not so) little girl!

Bristol Rose is 8 months old today! I can't believe it! I didn't savor her infancy like I should have. I was in a hurry for her to be fun but I forgot to savor the moments when the only person in the world could help her was me! I hated being pregnant so I didn't savor that! When she was born all she did was eat sleep and poop on a different schedule than what I wanted! Now here she is 8 months old rolling over, crawling, laughing, blowing raspberries, clucking like a chicken, and PULLING UP TO STANDING! I am so not ready for this I want her to be a little baby for a little bit longer but unfortunately I think she will probably be walking come 9 months!

Our adventure to Red Rock Canyon!

Today was a nice sunny beautiful day! So we decided to pack the family up in the suburban and go for a hike! The dogs where so well behaved! Bristol enjoyed it to but mommy forgot a bottle and Bristol was hungry! So we didn't hike for as long as we would have liked but it was still a fun adventure! It was a wonderful day and God provided it for us!

How I imagine Jeremy's days off!

Yesterday was a perfect day in my book! Jeremy was home! We woke and went for a run! After which we took the doggies to the dog park! We came home and relaxed! Then topped the evening off with church!

Normally I do all of these things by myself, it was so nice to have Jeremy involved with them!

To bad its sleeting outside or we would have done it all over again!
